My 1980 Triumph Spitfire is for sale, it has been with me since June 2021. It starts and drives very well with no known mechanical or electrical faults.
It has been driven weekly and had regular 2+ hour drive and has never let me down.
Mechanical
- Mechanically standard, without modifications.
- The brake callipers, pads and exhaust have been replaced in my ownership.
- I have replaced the differential and the master cylinder.
- It has been serviced annually in my ownership and it underwent a full service just before I bought it.
Exterior/ Interior
- The paintwork is in great condition, it had been re-sprayed shortly before I bought it.
- The wheels present very nicely.
- The tyres are relatively new, with plenty of tread remaining.
- The seats show age-related wear.
- The carpets are in good condition.
- A new soft top was fitted during my ownership.
- All buttons are working, aside from the radio.
Paperwork
- Receipts and invoices for work completed in my ownership.
- Receipts and invoices from previous owners.
- I have some MOT certificates.
Imperfections/ Faults
- The leather on the armrest is worn through and needs replacing. (See photos)
- There is age related wear to the seats. (See photos)
Comes with seen premium cover and a spare set of keys.
This car has brought me so much joy but having to sell due to moving house to London. Great fun to drive and drives superbly. There are no problems with starting, even in cold weather. Drives easily on the motorway with no issues.
Such a fun car to drive in Summer with the roof down but equally practical for much more than this a Summer run around.
