The Triumph Spitfire 1500 is a British roadster built from 1974 to 1980 and represents the final evolution of the famous Spitfire line. Powered by a 1. 5‑litre four‑cylinder engine producing a little over 70 horsepower, it appeals with its lightness, agility and the elegant styling by Giovanni Michelotti. Its long, low, one‑piece tilting bonnet facilitates access to the mechanicals, while improvements to the rear suspension offer road handling that is safer than on the earlier generations. Simple, lively and full of charm, the Spitfire 1500 remains today a highly regarded classic for the authentic driving pleasure it delivers.
The model we have available is January 1978. It is in good cosmetic condition both inside and out.
Recent works (with invoices) are as follows:
- Complete front suspension dismantling and reassembly for treatment and painting
- Replacement of lower and upper suspension bushings (silent blocks)
- Replacement of the upper ball joint
- Replacement of front shock absorbers
- Replacement of caliper and brake pads
- Replacement of the steering rack
- Update of the wiring loom
- Oil change for the engine, gearbox and differential
The Triumph Spitfire 1500 is also equipped with a stainless steel exhaust and a hard top.
