--Structure--
It has a quality galvanised chassis installed which is in excellent condition.
The body shell has had welding in areas with the welding dressed, sealed and treated.
The shell underside and chassis has had 2 layers of underseal applied.
--Body--
The panels have been treated, etch primed, undercoat primed, and then sprayed with 4 coats of durable 2 pack top coat.
All glass has been removed during the respray.
It has an excellent finish with a deep, smooth shine.
The indicators have been moved from the front wings, maintaining the classic wing curves, and placed on the side valance.
There is a new vent flap and new stainless steel flap trim fitted.
All aluminium and stainless steel trim has been polished.
The mirrors have new silicone surrounds.
--Hood--
The hood is new and has been made using high quality marine canvas.
--Mechanics--
The 2cv has had a full service with new engine oil, gearbox oil, oil filter, air filter and spark plugs.
A 123 electronic ignition system has been fitted with a new coil and a recent Bosch battery.
New quality pistons, piston rings and cylinders have been fitted.
Push rod seals have been replaced, the inlet and exhaust valves have been checked, and the valve seats cleaned. There are new valve stem seals.
A new Valeo clutch, clutch plate and bearing has been fitted.
The carburettor has been professionally ultrasonically cleaned and has had parts replaced. A new carburettor-to-air filter pipe is fitted.
The king pins have been greased, as have the drive shafts.
The brakes have been cleaned, checked and set.
A new gearbox mount is fitted.
The suspension knife edges have been removed, cleaned and re-greased.
There are new rear shock absorbers.
The track rod ends have been dismantled checked and cleaned, new gaiters have been fitted.
The steering tracking has been set.
The fan is colour coordinated with the car.
All other mechanical parts have been cleaned, painted and checked, and replaced if needed.
--Other--
The fuel piping has been replaced with E10 and E5 compatible unleaded pipe, with a new fuel filter added.
Front driving lights have been installed, which are switchable.
New Cibie headlights are fitted.
All additional wiring is tidy.
The oil cooler has been cleaned.
There is a locking stainless filler cap with two keys.
New durable pressed aluminium number plates are fitted.
Included is an original 2cv owner's manual with it's Citroen folder, two sets of keys, a workshop manual, and the radio/ bluetooth player user manual together with the V5C registration document, MOT document and model car of the same vintage and colour.
The wheels have been reconditioned and are fitted with Toyo tyres.
There are new wheel trims.
The wiper park position has been changed to the passenger side to help visibility and MOT regulations.
It comes with a jack, wheel brace/ starter handle, wooden chock and winter muff.
All screws, nuts and bolts have been cleaned and waxoyled on re-assembly.
Additional waxoyl has been applied to known vulnerable areas.
--Interior--
The seats have been reupholstered using hard wearing material , with headrests added to the front seats.
The iconic single-spoked steering wheel has been fitted with a vintage chevrons badge in the centre.
There are door trims on the doors.
Additional stainless window stays have been fitted for front windows.
There is an early bakelite, with stainless trim, gear knob.
A new ignition switch has been fitted.
The dashboard is colour coordinated.
There is a switchable flashing red light providing a visual security deterrent.
There is a blue light which is illuminated on main beam lights. A green light is illuminated with the indicators.
There is a USB outlet for Sat Navs and phone charging.
There is a digital battery voltage gauge fitted.
New carpet has been fitted in the front, back, and the rear luggage area of the car.
There is a new set of mats.
There is a spare wheel cover in the rear, and the luggage area is lined for protection.
There is new lining in the passenger area.
A new rear shelf is fitted in matching material.
A new radio and bluetooth music system is installed with an aux input and a additional USB charging point.
New speakers are discreetly installed into the bulkhead providing an excellent sound.
There is a new aerial.
There is a model in the same colours mounted on the front parcel shelf.
--Other additional features--
There is an LED rear centre brake light fitted.
An LED automatic reverse light has been fitted as well as a LED fog light.
A new 'Citroen' transfer has been printed on the stainless steel boot hinge.
There is a full tank of petrol.

Many hours have been spent rebuilding the 2cv sympathetically to a very high standard. I have rebuilt many classic Citroens (and other classic cars), the previous cars have gone to very satisfied classic car lovers and gone on to win awards at shows. This Citroen 2cv has been lovingly restored to a very high standard and will provide an excellent everyday classic or show car, which is economical and fun to drive.
The 2cv is a RHD, T registered 1979 model in the original blue Azurite with a grey interior and matching fabric hood. The 2cv is MOT and tax exempt and comes with a V5C registration document and MOT.
The designer of the 2cv was Flaminio Bertoni who also designed the Traction Avant and DS.
All three cars were extremely important for the development and reputation of Citroen. The 2cv was first displayed at the Paris Motor Show in Paris in 1948.
I've enjoyed and taken pride in rebuilding it and it will give me further enjoyment to see it used, loved and cared for. I am sure this 2cv will provide joy to the new owner, just like my Citroens have done for me over the past 35 years.

I have grown up with classic Citroens with my father having them throughout my life. I’m a classic Citroen enthusiast and have been in the 2cvGB club for many years. I have rebuilt many Citroens in the past and won awards for them. I’m passionate about Classic Citroens and get excited when I see one on the road.
This is part of my motivation to maintain and restore these cars: to keep them on the road, and for people to enjoy driving and seeing them.
--General Information--
All 2cv parts are available from the UK via either ECAS or 2cv Shop. Likewise, all parts are available via the internet from France.
There is a large support network in the 2cvGB and Citroen Car Club or on-line.
It is MOT exempt and has free road tax, the insurance is low (via classic car insurance). The running costs are low with a high return of miles per gallon from normal unleaded petrol, from its reliable air cooled 602cc flat twin engine.
The value of the 2cvs are continuing to rise, so this will provide a sound investment.
The 2cv is located near Lincoln, please feel free to arrange a viewing and test drive before purchasing.
I may be able to help with collection of the 2cv, with either recommending a local car transportation company or by collecting you from the Lincoln train station.
The 2cv can be secured with a non-returnable deposit for £200 with the balance paid via bank transfer on collection of the 2cv.
