We purchased this vehicle from its first owner in March 2022 who'd had it built to order by Autohaus, a very well known and established high quality VW camper van conversion specialists. It was built to their Ashton specification, plus extras, ex works on a brand new T5. 1 Transporter T28 StartLine TDi BMT base vehicle. Correctly registered brand new by them on 4th March 2014 as a reg class M1 diesel car, body type motor caravan. Therefore legal for cruising up to 70mph on UK dual carriageways and motorways.
Documents, fully stamped service book, and receipts confirming service history are present. Including:
Cam belt, tensioners and water pump replaced at 44, 800 miles
Uprated rear coil springs fitted as a pair at 58, 417 miles
Most recent service at 65, 816 miles includes new brake pads all round, new front brake discs, brand new front tyres to match rears, auxillary belt tensioner and due filter items - oil, air, fuel and pollen. Over £1, 200 spent on this service to ensure it's ready for the new season.

There are no dings and dents on any of the panels, it really does look superb in the purple metallic finish. The interior is in excellent condition with very light use. Everything works complete with electric hook up, extension cables, gas bottles..... everything you need to go and get away now. Fitted with a solar panel it has the capability to go off grid for short periods and offers a high level of comfort for this type of vehicle.
We've regularly ran the van trouble free since our ownership and experienced wonderful adventures throughout the UK. We and the previous owner have maintained the vehicle throughout and we're confident it will provide many more years of enjoyment for the next owner. It is a genuine sale as our plans for this year and early 2025 have changed.

We've found the VW T5. 1 to be very easy to drive and simpler than most to park (sensors front and rear). In addition it has good safe visibility, strong performance, excellent brakes, and a dream when cruising on fast A roads or motorways - comfortable, very car like, and surprisingly refined. It also has reasonable mpg at decent cruising speeds with the power to deliver sure footed capability and safely flow with car/ SUV traffic. They're also a great option for exploring off the main highway as they're not overly sized.... we notice that larger camper vans and motor homes really struggle accessing areas such as the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Norfolk with their back roads and lanes. This particular T5 also has plenty of torque and power to get up and down steeper gradients as well. We've never had problems, even fully loaded, it pulls very well.
Please note this camper van has not been lowered or modified in any respect to alter the ride height. The only addition is the 18 inch alloys, which run a pretty much standard tyre profile for continued ride comfort, and the uprated springs which again run at a standard ride height, but do provide a little more confidence when fully loaded. We've never fitted cycle racks, but I understand should the next owner wish to do so the uprated rear suspension will help to take the extra load.
All in all we've been majorly impressed with the performance of this van, the comfort level it offers, and of course the ability to just go and enjoy outdoor adventures! Highly recommended!
