Full known history, First purchased by Mr Jxxxxx in 1959 who had it for 20 plus years, rebuilding the engine in the late 70s / early 80s ( handbook and some paperwork) . inherited by his nephew Mr J xxxx who stored it in Barn until I purchased it in 2012.
Totally dismantled and frame and tinware stove enamelled and everything rebuilt using stainless nuts and bolts.
Forks rebuilt with new stanchons , bearings, seals and fitted with rebound damping units.
Wheels rebuilt with stainless rims and new tyres. TLS front brake conversion.
Crank reground rebuilt by S. E. P (Kegworth). Bores ok and fitted with new pistons etc New valve springs and spitfire camshaft fitted. S. R. M oil pump and inline filter in toolbox, New Carb.
Gearbox stripped and bearings replaced, new 4 spring clutch.
Dynamo rebuilt and rewound for 12 v operation, electronic regulator and L. E. D. lights for daytime running plus direction indicators
Electric starter fitted in 2018 and electronic ignition to prevent kickback which would damage sprag clutch ( Pazon)
Large file of receipts for work done.
This bike is not a "show pony" but was built for to use as a smart reliable classic which it has done for the last 12 years.
Unfortunatly old age (81) and advancing arthritis means that I have reluctantly decided to give up biking and pass it on to someone who can make full use of it
