Looking for £12, 750 ONODuring the war the Car was used by the German forces as a general runabout until about 1944-45 where it was then used by the Free French or
(FFI) until the end of the war. After the war the car ended up in Southern France in a Town called Cerbere close to the Spanish boarder. Owned by a Mr Lauren Gobert.
In 1959 the Simca changed hands to a new owner a Mr Barutte from a small village called Sournia in the Pyrenees, By this time the car had change little apart from paint colour.
For the next 56 years the car was used by Mr Barrutt and family in the village. It did little mileage, just going between the villages and local area in the Pyrenees, the milometer reads just 28. 200km.
In 2015 the car was laid up after the owner's death and I found and purchased it from his Daughter in March 2020.
The car has been restored to German wartime service in Normandy in 1944. Serving in an armored recce unit with the 2nd SS Panzer Division 'Das Reich' around the Carentan / Sainteny area in July 1944.
