1949 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Van with a difference. It was originally built and set up for Occasionally being run down Englishtown drag strip in New Jersey. It is running a 358 cubic inch engine with Holley 4 barrel carburettor, NASCAR headers, Disc brakes on the front, LSD rear end with 456 gears, Automatic transmission. I bought this van a few years ago out of an estate sale in the States so I don’t know loads about it. The van had been parked in a barn since 1997 I gave it a light recommissioning with new brake pipes and all brakes stripped and cleaned, replaced tyres, fuel pipes, exhaust, changed fluids, etc and it ran great. Then like an idiot I parked it up again and never used it. So the carb went bad again so I have just replaced it with a Holley avenger 4 Barrel so it is running great again but probably will need some fine tuning. The body work has not been touched since way before 1997 except for being machine polished so you can see it is very solid with just age related marks and a little bit of rust. The chassis is also very solid but there is some rust on the outer 4 - 6 inches of the floor which has had some poor quality patches on them also the inner sills need a couple of repairs. Having said this you could use it the way it is and do the repairs as you go. I am just making you aware as I don’t like wasting time. This van is a lot of fun to drive on the road or if you wish you can even take it to the strip. I am selling a few of my American cars as I am moving house and these are not getting used.
