1982 Lancia Beta Spyder 2L 8v for sale.
Number 5641 of only about 9200 ever made. Rare right hand drive.
I bought the car from my Uncle about 4 years ago, he had owned it from 2007. Before that it was owned by his Belgian friend for about 10 years. Unfortunately I don't know the rest of the history.
It's an accident free car that drove well but was showing it's age so I made the decision to restore the car.
Car was stripped and taken down to bare metal. Car was resprayed in it's original metallic blue colour.
Engine was completely rebuilt. New sleeves installed, new rings, mains and big ends. Cylinder head had new valve seats fitted for Unleaded fuel. New cam belt and water pump.
Aluminium parts including brake calipers were vapour blasted. All nuts and bolts and smaller brackets were electroplated with yellow passive. All other brackets and suspension parts were sandblasted and powder coated.
Car is fitted with a custom 4-1 branch exhaust manifold. New lower control arm bushes. New wheel bearings all around. New shocks fitted all around with new flexible brake lines and calipers rebuilt with new seals.
Flywheel was skimmed and new clutch fitted. New gear linkage bushes. New coil and battery. Radiator and heater matrix was professionally redone. Interior was redone at an earlier stage and still in good condition. Brand new windscreen fitted.
Brand new firestone tyres on Chromodora alloys. Paperwork in order.
Unfortunately due to emigrating I was unable to finish a few things. Alloy wheels need to be refurbishes as the paint is a bit old and has chips.
Needs a new soft top made. The old one is supplied with the car and there is a spare complete refurbished frame fitted.
Left low beam headlight needs the plastic grommets that hold the adjustment screws, so hasn't been fitted (everything else is there).
Front bumper needs fitting as I couldn't find the bolts, brackets are in the car.
