I've owned this fantastic example for just over 3 years but unfortunately it's time for me to let it go.
It has previously had a nut and bolt restoration - I believe around 2000 - and has been extremely well looked after since.
The car was as standard when I bought it and I have carried out a few subtle modifications including fitting lowered springs and dampers (Classic Swede) and wider wheels (painted body colour) with white wall tyres. The new suspension setup makes a huge difference to the drivability of the car allowing it to corner like a modern car!! Fitted with a twin carb B18 engine which starts easily every time. New ignition barrel and push button starter, new battery fitted last year.
4 speed manual (no overdrive)
The bodywork and mechanicals have obviously be restored or renewed to an extremely high standard, many of the interior parts look like they are original to 1966 and show the patina that you would expect. Drivers seat has a small rip in the base (2 inch), heater works but fan doesn't, radio doesn't work.
Comes complete with boxes of spare parts, folders of invoices dating back to around 1998, full set of brand new blue floor carpets which have never been fitted, replacement drivers seat base cover and a folder of workshop manuals. Mileage currently shows 18000 however the dashboard was replaced around 10 years ago due to accidental damage. The last invoice prior to that shows 26000 miles. Other then that and the folder of invoices covering 2000 to present there are no details of what milage the car had done prior to restoration.
