Four years ago I sold a TVR Vixen with a 4-cylinder 100 hp engine. Due to its low weight, this car drove like a go-kart. I couldn't afford the V8 Griffith for over €100, 000, so I was all the more delighted to have found this Vixen with the 3. 5-litre Rover V8. A high compression ratio and a sharp camshaft give this engine 190 hp. Just right for this lightweight. During the first test drive, it was "pedal to the metal" and I only took my foot off the accelerator at 180 km/ h - I was scared! The combination with a long 5-speed gearbox and long rear axle is perfectly tuned. I'm 1. 94 metres tall and, once seated, I feel really comfortable in the cab. The tubular trellis frame looks excellent and for a British quality, the classic car looks good overall. However, I would replace the wooden dashboard. Technically, the racing car will be brought up to German standards in our workshop and you will receive a 2-year MOT. The small independent English car company TVR began producing racing cars in Blackpool in the 1950s. The Vixen model followed TVR's classic recipe for fast and light sports cars and racing cars with a tubular trellis chassis and fibreglass body. The Vixen was supplied with a variety of four-cylinder engines from Ford, MG and Triumph. However, the most successful version was the 2500 with the six-cylinder in-line engine from the Triumph TR6. As the Vixen was somewhat lighter and had better aerodynamics than the TR6, it was also somewhat faster. With independent suspension on all wheels and precise rack-and-pinion steering, this little sports car drives very well compared to many other cars of the time.
