Description
1993 TVR Griffith 430 Big Valve.
54000 miles with good service history. MOT until Sept 2026.
Cooper Green with magnolia leather interior.
All the important major mechanical jobs have been addressed with the outriggers, wishbones and brake pipes all being replaced in 2014 and chassis undergoing a full POR15 paint treatment. The engine was rebuilt by Powers Performance at 43k miles to BV spec. Dyno tests in the file show the car delivering 290-310BHP. Battery is a race Odyssey and a full Canems engine management system has been fitted by Lloyds Specialist Developments. This gives a smooth power delivery with no shunting. At the same time the battery and fuse box area was reconfigured to eradicate the typical TVR untidy cabling. Accel ceramic plug leads.
The differential was rebuilt at 40k miles. Nitron Racing red suspension has been fitted and the interior recarpeted and seats refurbished.
In 2019 a new hood was fitted and a new dash was fitted in 2022.
A new clutch was fitted at 53000 miles including master and slave cylinders.
The paintwork is fair with a few marks and the bonnet and mirrors have recently been repainted. Hopefully the photos show the condition. There is some delamination of the lower rhs windscreen corner.
Choice of wheels, either OZ Racing with Toyos or Amil Gottis with Yokohamas.
It will revert to its original registration of K629XRN.
It’s currently tucked up in a heated garage with an inspection pit. Any inspection is welcome. Have always wanted a Griffith since a teenager and was finally able to buy this fantastic 430 Big Valve in 2022. the 430 BV is said by many to be the sweet spot of the engines fitted to the Griffiths being essentially as powerful as the 500s but with a more freely revving nature. Very few were built by the factory and this one was upgraded to BV spec by Powers Performance, TVR's engine builders, about 10000 miles ago. I've had some great times in LeMans with it but it's now time to let someone else enjoy it as lack of time is preventing me from using it as it deserves.
