1974 Camaro with RS front in great running condition just needing some bodywork attention and interior completion.
I've had the car since 2011 and have done a lot of work including:
- bare metal restoration including sunroof delete ( I know right!)
- new rear axle with LSD (Detroit TrueTrac)
- Fitech fuel injection with V2 Fuel Command Centre
- Dakota Digital VHX dials
- Ridetech Shockwave adjustable rear suspension
The 383 stroker engine has done 10, 000 miles and has forged crank, rods and pistons with PBM performance heads. Other specs include:
- Crane Cams H-300-2 Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft
- Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake
- Pertronix Flame-Thrower HEI Distributor D1050
- Planet 700r4 trans with 2050 stall converter
- B&M Quicksilver Shifter
- QA1 Pro Coilover system front suspension
- Hooker headers
There is rust around the rear arches and scratches on the passenger door which will need sorted - I have rear quarter skins which are included with the sale - just haven't got round to doing it myself. The stickers can be easily removed.
I'm also half way through restoring the door panels which I don't have time to complete. The passenger side door card and all fittings include the grab handles for both sides will also be included with the sale. This car lived most of it's life in Alabama before travelling to North Pole, Alaska. It was then shipped to the UK in 2008 via the US Air Force.
I love this car and have been reluctant to sell but I just can't keep up with the number of old cars I have and this Camaro is not getting as much attention or driving as it should. The 383 is loads of fun to drive and the Fitech has been brilliant - starts first time and is so much more responsive than I could ever get from it with a carb. It turns heads and puts a grin on my face every time I'm out but it's time for someone else to enjoy it!
