Description
A great early example of the Land Rover Ninety
This early-model Land Rover Ninety is a lovely piece of history, having been largely kept in original condition and used consistently until a few years ago. I’ve owned it for quite some time, but I no longer use it as I once did — so it’s time for this one to go to a new, loving home.
Key details and upgrades:
Original 2. 25 litre petrol engine fitted, with a brand-new carburettor installed.
Gearbox is in excellent working order — no issues to report.
All suspension bushes have been replaced with SuperPro bushes — the handling and ride have been noticeably improved.
Lighting upgrades: Wipac Crystal Clear lenses paired with Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs.
Seating & interior: Exmoor Trim seats fitted (these are showing wear but that adds to character).
Audio/ communications: Kenwood tape/ FM radio, CB radio installed.
Other enhancements: Raptor Engineering binnacle surround, passenger map-light, original steering wheel retained, OME rear springs, original sidesteps, Dixon Bate rear tow-hitch, front diff guard, rear JATE rings, military-style front bumper, and Sumo steering bars.
Wheels/ tyres: Comes with original steel wheels and very good tyres — other wheel and tyre sets are available by separate negotiation.
Condition & usage:
The car is in sound mechanical condition and would make a brilliant usable classic Land Rover. However, a light recommissioning is recommended to bring it fully up to standard. It’s ideal if you’re looking for a fun, reliable classic 4×4 rather than a concours show-piece.
