For sale we have my very rare 1 of 3 still on the road VW Polo Commercial panel van. Only selling due to having too many projects having just bought a Polo Coupe. I’ve owned this since last October and was intending to use it as a second works van, and restoring it as a ratty van as vans should be used. Always turns heads wherever it goes everyone seems to love it.
Previous owner has rattle canned it with black graffiti paint, it’s had the rear arches replaced prior to my ownership and could do with tidying up. It’s got air horns fitted which sound great. Recent front discs and pads, looks like it has a new fuel tank fitted. Sports exhaust rear section. Uprated front anti roll bar bushes, lowering springs at the front, standard springs and new shocks on the rear. Quick release steering wheel hub.

In my ownership I have fitted a Pipercross air filter, new fuel pump, halogen headlamp bulbs, new breather pipes, new carb rubber base, new warm air ducting for air intake, decent steel wheels with plenty of tread on the tyres, welded up three holes in the floor pan, new boot seal, kurust treated and internal surface rust, new genuine OMP steering wheel, new fuel filter, got a metal cam belt cover but not fitted due to not having the fixings. New sender unit seal. Replacement passenger side seat belt due to the one that was in being the wrong one.
Positives, all the suspension towers are solid in really good condition, bulkhead is nice and solid including the dreaded battery tray. Drives great and corners well. Happily sits at 70mph although the revs are high due to being a 4 speed.
Starts first time. Webber carb with auto choke.
Negatives
There’s a small water leak coming from the windscreen seal but the car will come a new replacement one.
The spring that keeps the gear-lever from accidentally going into reverse is weak but never causes any issues if your aware of it, also come with a new one to be fitted.
Carpets need finishing off fitting as I can’t find any new sill trims to hold them in place. Individual rare true head turner! Only selling as I’ve bought a Polo Coupe.
