Morris Mini 1000, 1974, 7500 miles from new, Blaze Orange.
This is probably the best, most original, time-warp Mini you could find. All panels are original, it has never been welded, undersealed from new. Engine and gearbox as you would expect for 7500 miles. M. o. T. to June 2025, although exempt, ULEZ exempt and no Road Fund required. I am the third owner, having bought the car in 2020 after a long and exacting search for the perfect car from an enthusiast who had the car for twelve years in his private collection, stored in a dry, safe barn in Kent. Desmond Humphrey was the first owner who bought the car from Appleyard of Huddersfield and it remaind in his possession for 34 years. I have owned Minis since the late 60’s and I can say without doubt that this is the best and most original classic Mini that I have ever had.
During my ownership I have attended to the brakes, electrics, fuel system and coolant. The interior retains the original navy coloured seats and carpets. The smaller steering wheel was fitted when I bought the car but an original bus-twirler is available, the original reflective number plates are also available. I have M. o. T. certificates dating back to 1978 and a classic car Heritage Certificate. The original handbook and Passport to Service are in their Appleyard folder.
The time has come for someone to take over caring for this special little car, either in a private collection or to use on special occasions.
