The Ford Escort RS 2000 was a popular model that was appreciated for its performance, its sporty design and its numerous racing successes. The RS 2000 was characterised by its widened wings, lowered body and 13-inch rims, while the striking radiator grille is also iconic for this racing car of the 1970s. The model was particularly popular in Great Britain at the time. An Escort won a racing event almost every weekend.
