Excellent, low 83000 mile, Saab 9000 CSE Turbo. Rare, factory five speed manual, comprehensive service history, just three former keepers.
Outstanding original condition, detailed engine bay, all stickers remain intact under bonnet, new bonnet struts. New exhaust. New wipers front and rear. Upgraded engine output by Abbott Saab. Atmospheric dump valve. Abbott lowered suspension. No corrosion issues. Door bottoms, wheel arches, spring perches, boot floor, as new. No corrosion issues ever recorded in previous MOT history. Dinotrol injected inside doors. Scarabe metallic dark green, has lovely, even, deep lustre when polished, desirable non sunroof model. 16 inch refurbished Aero powder coated alloy wheels. Newish Pirelli P7 tyres. Unused spare and Jack. Soft, supple, Black leather heated electric interior. This interior was specifically supplied by Recaro for the 9000 models, and was an option at time of order. The seat motors are all Bosch, very high quality . Drivers seat memory. Has been regularly fed and nourished, and has a lovely aroma. Absolutely superb comfort. Original Saab fitted over mats. Glossy Burr walnut veneer dashboard in excellent unfaded condition. All instruments, clocks and panel lights function perfectly. Carpets and door panels as new. Headliner is as new.
Very fast car, tight to drive with excellent B204 turbocharged engine, with forged internals. Revs to 6, 600 rpm. The engine is smooth and quiet. Very involving with the later, highly geared five speed manual gearbox. Will easily achieve 80 mph in second gear alone! Simply incredible. The gearshift is smooth and precise. Surprisingly economical. I’ve seen 47mpg regularly on long motorway runs.
Recent service at Abbott Saab. The engine oil remains clear and golden. Gearbox serviced by Abbott. The drivetrain has been regularly serviced all its life, at SAAB dealerships, then Nissan, despite the low mileage added each year. Multiple oil changes during its life.
Headlights and rear reflective panel bright and unfaded.
950g air conditioning system recently cleaned, lubricated and re gassed. Ice cold. Compressor works perfectly. A really excellent, original example. Rust free. No corrosion issues ever recorded in MOT history. Has had extensive and regular Lanoguard treatment to preserve bodywork. Good 9000s are appreciating now, following the recent rise in value of the 900 series. Lots of rare spare parts included, spare interior, set of 15 inch Saab alloys with new Uniroyal tyres. Spare set of Aero doorcards etc.
They are becoming very rare and desirable with few original, low mileage cars available. Most have covered enormous mileage and have many issues, unlike this example. During my ownership, light summer use only. Always garaged.
Very difficult to replicate in this condition with impeccable history. Will be newly MOTd at point of sale. Gently appreciating year on year.
