For sale is my very rare, late model Chrysler Hunter Super finished in Cherry Red with original red interior.
I have owned the car for 11 years and have covered just 800 miles in that time, always keeping it garaged and used on sunny days only.
I am only the third custodian from new as the original owner kept the car for 33 years.
He kept the most comprehensive year by year history file on the car showing all mechanical and bodywork expenditure. It includes the original sales invoice for £3568. 18 from Castle Autos Chrysler dealer in Benfleet, Essex and the original Ziebart rustproofing guarantee from February 1979.
It makes for fascinating reading and shows just how beloved the Hunter was by this fastidious gentleman.
The car was fully restored at 61, 000 miles in 1987 at a cost of £2950 (approximately £8000 in today's money!) and then again in 2003 at 84000 miles. It has only done 3000 miles since and is still in excellent condition today.
I had a mechanical overhaul done on the car last year by a Hunter specialist and a new clutch in April this year, so the car runs beautifully.
As you can see from the pictures, the car really does look lovely. It's not concours but is in really super show condition.
