Selling on behalf of my mother this very pretty little series 2 'big fin' Alpine.
It is virtually identical to the one used in the James Bond film 'Dr. No' and is in the same colour of Lake Blue, which is i'm told a very rare colour on these cars.
Included in the sale will be the model of the 007 car as you can see in the photos.
The 1600cc engine starts first time every time and seems to be very reliable, clutch is good, the 4 speed transmission works as it should along with the overdrive, which, from memory works on 3rd and 4th, i haven't driven the car any distance for a long time but all seems ok.
The car has been kept in my mother's garage for the last 3 years but now sadly she is in a home so now i have the car here at my home address.
The current V5 shows only one previous owner, a Mr. Wood, and he appears to have bought the car back in 1972 and all the old variations of old log books are present, but on the original buff log book from the 60's it shows another owner from whom Mr. Wood appears to have bought the car. So all in all very low ownership with documentation to prove. I was told also that when we bought the car the mileage of 75, 000 is correct but i cannot prove or disprove it, i do happen to think its probably genuine based on its condition.
It really is quite exceptional in appearance with a beautiful paint finish, and looks solid enough underneath.
The interior is nice and i would say looks original, but will need a couple of jobs doing, nothing much, just a couple of bits need tidying up.
I've just had a brand new soft top professionally fitted with all new fasteners etc and the invoice will be provided.
The car also comes with the original factory hard top in black which really suits the car.
All in all a very pretty little Alpine and i'm told being a series 2, one of the rarest.

I can deliver the car for a modest fee, and subject of course to full prior payment. I just love the 60's feel of this car, such a time warp!
