Toyota Corolla Coupe KE25 manufactured 1972 with the 3K 1166cc engine. Imported last year from Portugal and successfully registered with DVLA as historic on V5 held in my name. Very original survivor car and was kept in dry storage since last Portuguese (MOT equivalent) inspection in 2004. Recommissioned with following carried out: - petrol tank cleaned/ re-lined, new fuel lines and fuel filter, coolant flush, new thermostat and radiator cap, new brake hoses, brake master and wheel cylinders, new handbrake cables, gearbox & diff oil changed, engine oil and filter change, new plugs, new strut top mounts, wheels repainted and 4 new tyres fitted, new battery, new wiper blades. For peace of mind (even though not mandatory for historic class vehicle) had an MOT end of June and the pass certificate is valid through to 28th June 2025.
Floor pan has all four original locator lugs for the wheel jack (original jack and tool roll in boot).
Lot of options – preserve and use as is, further improve, or build into restomod/ TE 27 tribute.
On that note, have running gear including rare complete 2TG twin cam engine on Solex carbs + optional pair of Dellorto 40 twin carbs, + 5-speed gearbox (engine and gearbox from TA22 Celica), engine mounts from KE conversions in Australia for 2TG to KE25 swap, Corolla TE71 front struts including disk brakes, Corona rear diff and drums, Enkei 13” 8 spoke competition alloys (similar to Watanabe) , RHD steering column and ignition with key plus dash to convert LHD to RHD.
