Offered for sales is a genuine RHD WHITE Lotus Esprit, with matching numbers (Heritage Certificate proof). (Registration, URH 666R)
I have owned this vehicle for 10 years, and have carried out extensive restoration during this period. This includes a body-off chassis rebuild.
The chassis was reconditioned by SJ Sportcars (£3224)
The engine was rebuilt and dyno tested by Anderson Racing (160BHP) (£12600 total)
The suspension, steering, brakes and drive shafts have been fully reconditioned, including powder coating to a high standard.
Fully polyurethane all round
The photos show the underside has been fully stone chipped, and looks great underneath
The interior has had a lot of time and money spent on it by the former owner (Lotus Rome), and again looks amazing.
It has had tasteful upgrades, including a discreet Clifford alarm with central locking, and remote switch for the boot lid
SJ Sportcars installed a cross-gate upgrade, making the gear changes an absolute delight
I installed in inline brushless water pump, to assist with cooling when driving through traffic
Soundproofing added, to lower cabin noise substantially.
I haven't touched the gearbox, as it works perfectly
There is a huge history file available with this vehicle - far too many parts to list
I would rate the paintwork somewhere between a Grade B+ to A-, depending on your standards. The Esprit looks outstanding, but the paintwork is not perfect. Being a white car, you hardly notice the blemishes, but they are present. Don't get me wrong... as long as you're not expecting a show car, you'll be happy with the paintwork. I certainly wouldn't repaint it, as then it becomes unusable.
The car is currently in my holiday home in Northern Italy, but I will be driving it back to Greenford, Middlesex on the 12th July, and thus will be available for viewing on Sunday 14th July. In the meantime, I can send any photos you wish to see. It will be sold with a fresh MoT.
The vehicle has been valued between £45, 000 - £50, 000, which sounds about right. I am open to reasonable offers.
FYI - The vehicle isn't quite finished yet. I have to connect the cooling system and fit a new radiator, engine electrics and exhaust, before driving to the UK. I will be posting additional photos as I complete the engine wiring, so you can see the engine bay.
