This is the TOYOTA LAND CRUISER AMAZON GX MK 2 (series HDJ100) fitted with the 4. 2 turbo diesel 6 cylinder injection SOHC 201 BHP engine (engine code 1HD-FTE) with permanent 4 wheel drive and a 4 speed AUTOMATIC gearbox.
Finished in silver pearl with medium grey metallic lower panels and un-marked, un-damaged original 16 inch alloy wheels. 7 seater interior with namid grey velour trim and wood trimmed detailing and grey carpets with dark grey over-mats.
Equipped with power steering, ABS brakes, traction control, DIFF lock, cruise control, radio-cassette stereo with CD multi-changer and the novelty of an old school electric aerial mast, air-conditioning, heated front seats with electric lumbar support on the drivers seat, front fog-lights, remote central locking, electric front and rear windows, electric heated power-fold door mirrors, drivers air-bag, passengers air-bag, tinted rear privacy glass, head-light washers and tow pack.

Drives very well with everything working exactly as it should do. The only minor fault that I am aware of is the electric telescopic aerial mast which doesn't retract completely leaving about 2 inches of mast.
A lot of recent expenditure to bring the car up to its previous glory including 4 new tyres and an April 2025 MOT with the 2 minor advisories attended to by fitting the new tyres.
Only 3 owners from new with the last owner keeping the car from May 2010.
Genuine emerging classic 4 wheel drive that is notorious for it's strength and ability. In a world of increasing electronic assistance these old mechanical war horses are diminishing never to be seen again. Like the venerable old Defenders, Patrols and Shoguns these are refreshing throw back to simple easier to maintain times. 12 service stamps in the original service book and various receipts and Toyota service check sheets including a receipt to show a replacement timing belt kit at 90, 259 miles in December 2017. Bought from a Toyota main dealer to be part of a collection of classic 4x4's in November 2023 and then brought back to it's current fine condition by our own inhouse workshop. A change of plan and direction means we now have a selection of 4x4's for sale.
We have just fitted 4 new matching tyres and spent an additional £3, 200 replacing (at trade costs with discounted labour rate). A quick rundown includes repairing and welding ROS and RNS lower wheel arches into the rear of both sills, rubbing down and wax oiling the complete underside, replacing all brake pipes and hoses, fitting a brake caliper and new front brake pads, fitting new rear shock absorbers and centre exhaust section, re-charging the air-conditioning and refreshing both front and rear bumpers, door bottom panels and side trims. It starts first time every time and we bought it in Ipswich and drove it back to Exeter without any incidents mechanical or otherwise.
