1976 Honda CB200
Originally registered on 8th June, 1976, this bike came to its current home in early 2018, joining a number of other machines in the collection of its owner, a long standing and active member of the classic vehicle scene. Unfortunately, the combined effects of the Covid lockdowns and, by his own admission, advancing years have meant the owner has not been able to use the bike as much as he would like. He has thus decided it is time for someone else to enjoy it and add a few more happy miles to its current total of 42, 000.
The little Honda presents well, with paint, bright work and seat upholstery all being in very sound and useable condition, albeit with room for improvement should the new owner want to undertake further refinement. Mechanically the bike is in good condition and runs very well.
Both its immediately previous and current owners have lavished a considerable amount of attention on the bike in terms of maintenance and new parts, work including renewal of all control cables, new chain and sprockets, new rear brakes shoes, new peg rubbers, new battery strap, new mirrors, new petcock and new clutch. It also benefits from a recent new Yuasa battery and a carburettor rebuild. A collection of receipts and other paperwork backs up this work and a small spares package is offered with the machine.
