Description
BBR GTi Stage 1 Turbo MX5 - Low mileage and excellent condition.
This is probably one of the best sports car we've owned, and we've had a few! In my opinion, all MX-5s should come with a turbo at least as an option. This car sports the BBR GTi stage 1 turbo package, providing a healthy 265 bhp. The install looks completely OEM as you can see in pictures. The car does get the odd nod from people who know what they're looking at when they see the badging... Not to mention the surprise from drivers in "better" cars. I sold my 911 in lieu of this car, that's all I can say really.
We bought the MX5 about a year ago and have enjoyed every moment of it, if it weren't for space we wouldn't be selling it. Alas, the purchase of a Defender means the MX5 has to go... Having five cars in a household of two people is ridiculous.
Not a vast amount to say beyond its impeccable condition, low mileage and performance (which is rather spectacular). The hard top operates perfectly and seals the car brilliantly during bad weather. The car has only been used for local runs to and from the pub mainly, hence its impeccable condition. It currently sits at roughly 66500 miles, this will go up slightly as the car is still in use (it is wine weather after all).
Beyond the obvious turbo upgrade, the only other modification is a Kenwood double DIN unit with Carplay and Android Auto. This is a factory navigation car (pretty rare I'm told!) so it already had a double DIN fascia. The original Mazda unit is in a box and will be included with the car (it's not particularly great though).
The car is really well appointed for an MX5. Heated seats, electrochromic rear view mirror, electric adjustment mirrors, a decent sound system and cruise control all make for a really useable car beyond its main sports car role. One could easily do a long road trip in this.
It's just had a clean MOT and I will be doing an oil and filter change in the next few days ready for its next custodian.
I think that covers everything, any questions please ask!
