Ford Escort MK2 1600 Sport, imported from South Africa.
This is a good example of a much sort after Ford, The car is mostly rust free thanks to being a South African import. The 1600 Crossflow runs well, the car has also been fitted with 5 speed Type 9 gearbox.
The interior is in good condition for age but, the seat fabrics are slightly baggy on the front seats, the drivers bolster is slightly worn. Upholstery is in overall good shape but could do with a slight refresh.
Wheels are in great condition all round.
The paint is generally very good but has some minor scratches and bubbling, the bubbling is predominately on the roof. Cosmetically the car is 80% there but in need of a few touches up to make it absolutely perfect and is priced accordingly so.
The cars bodywork is in great order with no signs of rust other than in the bottom right corner of the bonnet, which has been photographed. The sills and arches are both in really good order and rust free. This is a really solid example.
The car is currently awaiting its V5, and should be registered by mid October. All tax and import duty has been paid for.

- Carb tuning
- New condenser
- New spark plugs
- New oil filter change
- Engine oil
- Differential & gearbox oil
Carbs will be adjusted for UK climate.
A new battery has also been fitted.
