It is a one owner car bar myself, which I have owned and driven to and from the MOT Centre in the past 4 years.
The car is unrestored and has most of her original paintwork and interior. The underside of the car is in outstanding condition almost flawless. In my ownership I have simply recommissioned the basic mechanical items, including new drums and shoes, new discs, pads, callipers, new exhaust, new oil cooler and oil pump, new bilstein struts, oil filter, plugs, leads, distributor cap, rota arm, fluids, clutch cable, cam belt and tensioner, fan belt, air filter, (many of the above parts have been kept for authenticity).
The original owners wife, used the car for school runs and to go to and from work for around 15 years, after which it was garaged for 20 years. It was then used for weekend runs at which point I purchased it.
I have most of the original MOT certificates to prove its mileage and history. So, unrestored and original is the key to this MK1 Golf, which makes it a very special car in today’s market.
Would make a great everyday runner or collectors car.
