For sale landrover 101 forward control ex army ambulance, registered 1982, only 2 owner since then.

He has owned it 20 years, has had many of happy outings in it however last time it was used it got stuck in diff lock (vacuum operated) so removed a Propshaft just to get it home. He since noticed that the likely cause was just a vacuum pipe had melted onto the exhaust however it’s stood there ever since and now needs to go.
As for the condition it still has a lot of potential either to stay standard or usual camper conversions etc, it still has most of not all its equipment including sirens, air compressor, stretchers etc, totally standard running gear v8/ 4 speed box, chassis is solid and been covered in oil a few times over the years to preserve, bulkhead very good, interior good and original however the damp has got to the rear roof lining but easy fix, tyres fair and hold air but slightly perished as you’d expect.
We have had it running on a gallon can as unsure of what’s in its own tank, clutch is ok, it runs, drives, stops ok but don’t think you’ll be driving it away it obviously needs a fair bit of recommissioning to use again but what a great start point, not many come up for sale anymore and especially not solid and unmolested like this example.
