Description
This is a 1974, Honda XL350. Purchased by me in 2019 and subject to a detailed and full restoration. The bike was imported from the USA and UK registered in May 2019. The bike was brought over to France in 2020, where it was assessed by FFVE, Federation Francaise des Vehicules D’epoque. It is now registered as historic, vehicle of Collection and now registered and kept in France. The bike was subject to a full restoration and utilising some expert assistance. The frame was stripped and powder coated, the chrome work was all replated by Niphos in Crewe, the engine was stripped, subject to a top end rebuilt, vapour blasted and painted by Probike, Shrewsbury, The wheels were rebuilt with new rims and stainless spokes by Central Wheels in Birmingham and the forks hard chromed and rebuilt by Dynasurf. The exhaust was split and remade with new internals and seems brassed by Phil Denton Engineering. The carburettor was rebuilt by Vaporworx. All parts used in the refurbishment are new old stock sourced from CSMNL and David Silver. The overall quality of the restoration has made for a stunning bike.
