A car to see and to try and certainly unique in France in this condition. I bought this Jaguar XJS-C Targa a few years ago because it reminded me of the Triumph Stag with its roll bar. The plus points are that this cabriolet can be transformed into a coupé (with or without the hard top), into a convertible on one or both sides, or into a full cabriolet by folding down the soft top. The improvements made to the suspension and rear suspension make for exceptional roadholding, and the larger-than-original wheel size means that the car can be fitted with top-quality tyres not available on a '15. Optimum maintenance has been carried out on the wheel bearings, new tyres, brakes, fuel injection management system, complete new clutch, all new polyurethane silent blocks, new axle spinnaker seal, installation of new big bore stainless steel exhaust pipes for improved engine breathing and an increase in power of at least 15bhp, taking it to almost 240bhp. In addition to the removable half-roofs and soft top, this Targa also features two small boot compartments behind the front seats, increasing the already ample luggage capacity of this convertible, not to mention the legendary reliability of the 6-cylinder engine.
