Description
Sitting on a galvanised chassis and propelled by a 200tdi with overdrive this ex military short wheel base Series 2 was built in 1960 and released to civilian life in 1968, hence the G plate. It was saved from being in a very shabby state around 15 years ago by the previous owner (4 from new) and he did the majority of work, including, sadly, fitting a Series 3 bulkhead, as that's what he had. The canvas roof and galvanised door tops were fitted around 3 years ago. It's obviously tax and MOT free, it drives well for one of these and cruises at 55mph quite happily.
