Description

Selling my 1968 Ford Mustang, here is a description of some of the work it has had over the years. Really has to be seen in person to be appreciated. This car was owned for 30 years by the previous owner who has spared no expense keeping & restoring it.

I am selling it because I just fancy a change. I am genuinely not in a rush to sell it so please don't send me silly offers. I have just put it into the garage for winter storage and was going to list in the new year but decided I'd might aswell list it now..

Bodywork-

* It is Dark Green (Ford Tourmaline Green). Was resprayed about 10 years ago. The car was originally Highland Green from factory as seen on the build sheet.

* Ducktail spoiler & GT scoops etc fitted at same time.

* Absolutely no rust.

* Excellent chrome work

* It has California Special badges added by the previous owner - the car is not a California special however it is the same spec except for the rear lights. I was going to take them off but they didn’t bother me and never ended up doing it..

Engine-

* 289 / 4. 7L

* Top end engine rebuild with upgrades- holly 4 barrel carb, edlebrock inlet manifold, hooker headers, dual exhaust, unleaded heads, comps cam followers and timing gears.

* Numbers matching car.

Gearbox-

* Automatic

* Gearbox full rebuild approx 2 years ago. (With receipt)

Suspension-

* Fully polybushed

* Koni shocks

Interior-

* Original Black seats with headrests

* Black headlining

* GT style RPM gauge

* Stereo upgrade and footwell speaker panels (Great upgrade looks factory) + Original radio

* Winding seat belts + Factory shoulder belts

Misc-

* Factory air con

* power steering

* power disc brakes

* Cibie Spotlights (body colour)

* Shelby steering wheel

* Split rim wheels + original wheels and hubcaps

History-

* History from brand new (rarely seen on most classic cars nevermind American cars in my experience)

* Includes original build sheet from dealer showing selected options and original sale price / invoice

* Original handbook with ford service stamps

* Original title + other original documents.

* I have had a few American cars but none with history and original documentation like this. I would say this is very rare to have in my experience.

This car has been maintained to a very high standard with absolutely no expense spared. Has been in Northern Ireland since 1993 and I believe the car was imported to the UK in 1974.

Not a single piece of rust on the car and paint is absolutely beautiful. Has to be seen to be appreciated.
