1952 Leyland Beaver (Ex Chest X-Ray fleet) now equipped for lorry funerals, in very good working condition and cosmetically sound.
Fitted with a Leyland 600 engine which starts on the button (even on freezing days like today!). Previous owner declared that a new clutch was fitted in 2022 and the gearbox was overhauled.
This lovely lorry still has evidence of its former life (X-Ray) and is equipped with front and rear period drawbar couplings. It was used in the funeral business for over 15 years, covering substantial distances under its own power and several hundred memorable funerals.
The lorry comes complete with a pallet of spares and much of the necessary equipment to undertake (pardon the pun) funerals.
This Leyland Beaver is lovely to drive, and could easily be personalised or once again used as a distinctive funeral lorry.
