Capots Vintage, specialist in sports and classic vehicles in Lyon, offers for sale a 1959 MGA 1500 Cabriololet: We offer this beautiful MGA 1500 Cabriolet, the iconic British roadster of the 1950s. As attested by British Motor Heritage, this MGA was delivered new to the United States in April 1959 and is presented today in excellent condition, having benefited from a complete and detailed restoration. It is presented in its Old English White paintwork with burgundy leather interior, and features four spoked wheels also painted in burgundy, giving it this original look. Under the bonnet is the original 1, 489cc engine, which has been completely overhauled and mated to a new 4-speed gearbox. The bodywork has been completely overhauled, both mechanically and aesthetically, with the body removed for repainting and the chassis treated with epoxy paint. Numerous body components were replaced with new ones. The burgundy leather interior, engine, gearbox, running gear and braking system were completely rebuilt, making the car much more reliable. We have a large file of invoices and photos attesting to the work carried out. Delivered with its black PVC soft top and its burgundy alpaca tonneau cover.
