Moto Guzzi Monza 750cc Special
This pretty Moto Guzzi started life as a 500cc V50 Monza, but was later expertly rebuilt by a highly regarded motorcycle engineer and racer as a 750cc special to provide his wife with some additional bhp. The engine and gearbox came from Guzzi Nevada and now thought to show below 10k miles.
The rebuild was conducted to a very high standard: - all brackets and mountings are powder coated or stainless steel, K&N Filters, Goodridge hoses, Hagon shocks, custom exhaust, custom seat, Lucas Rita ignition, alloy engine front cover and fork brace.
It is a very pretty, unique and beautifully put together machine which is widely admired wherever it goes.
Having re-ignited his passion for motorcycling with this lovely bike, the current owner now wants to upgrade to something modern to take on some serious mileage, touring etc.
MOT to end April 25 - vendor would renew for sale if requiredUnderstood to have been rebuilt and converted in around 2010 and then covered approximately 3500 miles before being sold as to a motorcycling enthusiast to display in his Kent seaside town cafe. Consequently she covered no miles during that time until acquired and re-commissioned by the current owner. Re-commissioning only required a tank and carb clean, oil change and basic checks for brakes, lights etc to gain an MoT. Runs, rides and operates beautifully. I have contact telephone numbers of both the constructor and a Guzzi specialist who knows the machine. With their permission, I would be happy to pass these on.
This is a very pretty bike. If you are of modest stature build it is a lovely bike to ride. It is always lovely to look at. Passers by love it and want to talk about it. It handles, stops, goes and makes a lovely sound from its custom exhaust. If I had the space to keep it, I would, just because it is lovely, but I need something bigger. If you love classic Guzzi's, this will make you smile everyday for a fraction of the price of a Le Mans - go on - treat yourself!
