BMW R90S in silver and black first registered June 1975. Owned since October 2018.
Bike is in immaculate restored condition and was recently ridden down to Faro in Portugal which is a testament to its reliability and rideability.
The restoration was undertaken by Keith Shaw and I have read that bikes restored by him rarely come onto the market . Notes in the file refer to uprated brakes and master cylinder. Uprated ignition , Boyer electronic and dual plug heads. Paint by Dream Machine. Stainless fittings, nuts and bolts. Rebuilt engine , gearbox and differential. Lightened flywheel. Stainless spokes and exhaust system. Unleaded valve seats.
In July 2019 the bike had some recommissioning work done at a cost of £1500 at Overland and Classic Motorcycles.
Receipts in the file are for new front discs and numerous purchases of oil, air and fuel filters .
The starts first turn on the starter and quickly settles to an even tickover. It is a pleasure to ride and far more comfortable than my R100RS.
No tax or MOT issues to worry about, the bike is ready to ride away and enjoy in the coming summer.
