Outstanding Body. Recent Front and Rear Suspension Overhaul. Recent new Disc Pads and new Front Discs. MOT to March 2026. No advisories. The 1996 to 1998 SL500 may arguably be the best built SL500. The 5 speed Auto with quicker shift was introduced for 1996 and from 1999 to 2006 the V8's became 3 Valve, with a single overhead cam producing less power and torque. Red was the colour to have back then that makes the car all the more a collector's period piece. The engine is impressive, with smooth power delivery. As a 2 plus 2 with a decent boot, it's practical too.
