A 5. 34-meter-long performance of British grandeur, hand-built in Crewe and equipped with everything that is refined, substantial, and utterly exquisite.
Beneath the imposing hood lies the legendary 6. 75-liter turbocharged V8, producing 389 HP and combining the torque of a freight train with the refinement of a Mayfair gentlemen’s club. Sprinting is un-British, but should the need arise: 0 to 100 km/ h in 6. 5 seconds.
The Azure Mk1 was built between 1995 and 2003 and originally cost more than an average house. It is the last Bentley truly crafted by hand – before the Volkswagen era. Featuring Connolly leather and walnut wood throughout. The exterior is finished in Peacock Mica with a Blue Cloth roof, while the interior boasts Cotswold and French Navy Hide, complemented by Dark Blue Wilton Carpets. A combination surely approved by the Queen.
This particular example is the finest among the 1, 085 Azure Mk1s ever built. Originally delivered in Fort Lauderdale, it was ordered new by an American with impeccable taste. Not long after, it crossed the Atlantic with a German expatriate. In Germany, it was eventually spotted and acquired by none other than Gijs Veerman – the Netherlands’ leading Bentley specialist.
For the past six years, this car has been his personal pride, driven only about 1, 500 kilometers per year – mostly on trips with the Bentley Drivers Club to England. During this time, he brought the car to a level of perfection that only experience, passion, and craftsmanship can achieve: truly flawless.
