Description
For sale is my 1966 Ford Mustang in Arcadian Blue.
Built in Ford’s San Jose, California plant in February 1966 it is equipped with the “A” Code 289 cubic inch V8 engine backed with a C4 Auto transmission. The car has aircon, power steering and is still fitted with its California smog equipment and single pipe exhaust system.
Very attractive two-tone blue interior with centre console and fitted with the chrome styled steel wheels.
Always a California car until it came to the UK in 2014, it was bought by a friend of mine who kept it until I bought it from him in 2023.
While with him the car was fitted with new bumpers, door kick plates, steering wheel, carpets, door cards, tyres, wiper motor and various other parts. A new Holley carburettor has been fitted but I still have the original one.
Since I’ve had the car I’ve cleaned, re-painted and waxoyled all four wheelarch areas and cleaned and waxoyled the floorpans which are in very good condition. A new boot mat has been fitted.
The car is in nice overall condition and has obviously been re-painted many years ago. The bodywork is very presentable but there are some chips and marks in the paint which have been picked up over the years.
The car starts easily, hot or cold and drives well. The engine oil and filter were changed about 1000 miles ago.
There are some spare parts - hoses, belts, ignition parts, handbook, manual, etc.
The “American Graffiti” tribute registration number will also stay with the car!
The reason for sale is a combination of the usual ones – not using it enough, getting older and too many cars!
