This is my second Cobra and the Gardner Douglas is by far the best version by miles. I’ve owned this for seven years and covered over 8000 miles personally, the car has 13000 in total, but only 1000 miles in the last three years and is a shame it’s not doing what it’s built for. I’m 6’4” and have regularly completed 250-300 miles in a day and 800 miles in a weeks tour around Wales and the West Country.
For full disclosure it would point out that the fuel gauge is inaccurate, it may just need setting up, I have just reset the trip counter every time I fill up and refuelled at a set distance.
The sump gasket is weeping very slightly.
Some stone chips on the rear arches, which is absolutely typical of these cars.
