Description

Bought from the third private owner in Hertfordshire in June 2007, regretfully selling due to health issues. I have only driven 102 miles in last three years. Has MOT until December 2025 (not required nor road tax) with service history. MG has overdrive, alloy wheels and resprayed in Damask Red in 2014.

Believe I met first owner some years ago while parking locally who said the car was originally white. Know of three owners before me, Second owner in St. Albans bought the car in 1978 until 2005; the mileage in November 1977 was 46, 655 at the MOT just before the second owner bought the car. Have some history of MOT on 1977 and 1994 to 2007 from the third previous owner as well as work done from 2005 to 2007.

Note in October 2006 speedo stopped at 54347 miles and replaced with second hand speedo with 22825 miles on the clock in May 2007 as reflected in the MOT history. Actual mileage now 35247 so total miles from new is now 66769.

In 2008 I had a reconditioned engine and new clutch fitted and have since done 12379 miles.

Fitted new electronic distributer some years ago (no more replacing points!) and recently; new heated rear window, brake, clutch master cylinders and Servo.

Newer jackUnlike a modern car what I liked as a MG enthusiast is that you can actually work on the car yourself if so inclined and I can provide some tools and additional spare parts.

I also enjoyed being part of the MG Owner Club and helping with road runs and fun games and entering the PoO (Pride of Ownership) at the meetings. My car is not Concourse standard as reflected in the price, but it is in good roadworthy condition!
