Welcome to the sale of my sensational and show winning 1989 Jaguar XJ-S V12 coupe finished in glorious Solent blue, with contrasting magnolia Connolly hide and isis blue piping with matching carpets also still with its original genuine Jaguar over mats.
This is a genuine low owner, low mileage car covering just 62000 miles from new. This XJ-S runs and drives like a Jaguar should with no squeaks, knocks or rattles at all, and in almost complete silence. Just a gentle burble from the wonderful V12 that pushes you along effortlessly with a beautiful wave of torque. I’ve also lost count how many times people have stopped me in my tracks to pass beautiful comments about this car wherever I go.
Recent work carried out is a braking system overhaul with new discs, pads and callipers also the ABS unit rebuilt at great expense. Also a full stainless steel exhaust system was fitted a few years ago. Routine maintenance is carried out regularly if the car requires it or not.
The bodywork is in stunning condition with beautiful deep gloss paint and gleaming bright work. Detailed and polished to the highest standards including all door shuts, under bonnet and wheel arches. The underneath is clean and has never been welded, just nicely under sealed and with all panels and cavities being treated with Dinatrol. Some additional Dynamat sound deadening has been added to underside of the roof skin to aid sound quality and a new old stock Jaguar sport TWR steering wheel finished in matching isis blue adds a slightly sportier feel. (Original wheel is in perfect as new and unworn condition) and comes with the car.
The special order high specification interior is beautiful and incredibly clean and well preserved. You could even say as new with all leather, trim and carpets with no wear, stains, rips or holes. Roof lining new and not sagging and walnut veneer still superb. Switchgear is all working correctly and as it should with an addition of a high quality Alpine audio system.
All mechanicals are great, engine runs beautifully and keeps cool with no leaks also does not use or burn oil. Gearbox changes nicely as expected and the axle is quiet. All grease points recently done and steering rack overhauled a couple of years ago.
The XJ-S comes with its full and complete service book documentation with a comprehensive Jaguar main dealer and specialist service history. All paperwork, bills, invoices old MOT’s etc retained in two thick binders and two sets of original keys. Also a Jaguar/ Daimler heritage trust certificate is included, plus an additional list all standard and extra cost options requested for this Jaguar when new.
The car sits on its correct all matching Pirelli P600 235/ 60x15 tyres with cleaned and polished original lattice wheels.
Everything works down to the original electric aerial although the air conditioning could do with a re-gas as it’s still running the original R12 system but still blows cool rather than cold but has never bothered me. With the Jaguar XJ-S celebrating its milestone 50th birthday and popularity for this beautiful coupe gaining more and more momentum now is the perfect time to get on board with XJ-S ownership. Also with values now rising fast for good examples this is a great opportunity to acquire this stunning Jaguar.
Having owned and deeply enjoyed her since 2018 it’s time with great regret for me to move on with another classic. (Believe me if could keep this Jaguar I really would) she’s been a wonderful car to me, with no headaches to report at all.
This XJ-S has been used very sparingly by myself for summer use only and classic car shows/ historic events, and is never used in the rain or winter months. She is garaged correctly in a secure, clean, dry and heated environment.
This Jaguar is ready to be used, shown and enjoyed by the new owner and has received a 12 months MOT certificate with no advisories.

Good Jaguar XJ-S’s are getting difficult to find now and with this in mind PLEASE PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS and no unrealistic or ridiculous offers as they will just be disregarded in order to save time for a genuine new owner and myself.
Also the private number plate shown will NOT be included in the sale as it’s been promised to my daughter for when she’s able to drive and she’ll kill me if it goes with the car. However it will remain on a 1989 G registration.
