Trixie
1976 Land Rover SWB 88 Series 3 ‘Trixie’ Originally ordered by the RAF and we believe delivered to base in Cyprus. Even though it’s an MOD vehicle this batch was ordered in civilian specifications. Trixie has had a bit of a sad story recently. Her last owner restored her to about 90% completion but unfortunately was taken ill and couldn’t finish her. I purchased last year and finished over the winter. So essentially fully restored over several years.
Chassis is solid with high quality repairs as pictured. I believe the engine has been rebuilt with lots of new parts. Body is solid and straight. You will see lots of new stainless steel nuts and bolts. All cappings have been re galvanised. Yes the paint has a few shades to it but as you will see from the pictures it’s spotless underneath
It also has an overdrive which is very sought after and worth £1000 on it own. New hood, wheels, tyres and so many new parts the pictures tell the story.
