Description
this is an oportunity for someone to buy a very complete and rust free , 1945 ww2 ford gpw jeep, UK registered , registration n umber YXG482, try and find another with all 3 original matching factory serial numbers, one on the tub, one on the chassis and the 3rd on the engine , Its around half the normal price you see them advertised for because its been semi dismantled, this is not the best way to present a jeep for sale but a few dedicated weekends and a good set of tools and you could have this jeep up and driving again , this is an extremely solid example, excellent bodywork, chassis and mechanicals, the engine and gearbox is mounted on the repainted chassis and running gear, is in great condition with good oil pressure and no rattles, It can be heard running and all the gears run quietly . I can send a whatsap video , 99% of all the parts are there for reconstruction and it has a UK registration document , a few weekends dedicated work and it would be a complete running driving jeep again and a very original rust free example , after the war the colour was changed to orange but with some light sanding the original green is there for all to see or a simple repaint would sort that out. I would personally expose 80% of the original green and leave the rest around the edges as a sort of shabby chic, nice to show its past life but I expect it will eventually get fully repainted to look like all the other restored jeeps, If it dousnt sell soon , I will put it together again when I have more time , there are aprox £2000 of new service parts included with this jeep such as, silencer, complete wiring loom, filters, seals, brake cylinders, master cylinder, new fuel tank, wipers, catches, cables etc etc, as far as I know everything is there, sorry but I would like to sell this jeep within the UK for simplicity reasons so any overseas interest please refrainThis jeep realy stands out from your average ww2 example , not only because it has its engine that it left the factory with but it's exceptional solid original unrestored condition with its original ww2 gauges and fittings intact. It has spent its post war life in a dry State in America and in that time has been sprayed blue then orange but some light sanding in places shows its original ww2 green paint , this jeep could be given a new coat of paint to look like all the rest or there is a great opportunity to sand back most of the orange and blue colours to show most of its wartime green but leaving some of its civilian colours on around the edges giving the shabby chic, unrestored look, delivery can be aranged and I would consider a part exchange
