Description
Jeep MB, gray C. 1943, but restored, presumably after war damage by the Hotchkiss workshops in France for the French Army, according to my hypotheses. Sold with 2 hoops and 2 sets of soft tops, one with sides and doors. Jerry can and spare wheel. Original wolf-mouth tow hitch, but the trailer plug wiring redone to current standards. As a hunter, I designed a detachable game carrier, mountable on the front bumper and foldable toward the grille. Very sturdy, it has carried many boars. I’m including it with the Jeep. Engine rebuilt from scratch and has covered about 3, 000 to 4, 000 km since, gearbox renewed with needle bearings in place of the original bronze bushings. Starts at the first turn. The electrical system has been redone in 12V and modernised with fuses (originally, thermal breaker points still present but inactive). Repainted once since purchase, not in the traditional decoration (US star, etc...). In short, it has crawled about; it runs well in both high and low gears and goes anywhere.
