Description
The exterior Old English White paintwork is immaculate and all the chrome shines beautifully. There is a wicker luggage basket with leather straps which fits neatly on the rack.
The canvas hood fits well, and is complete with side screens. The interior is in very good condition with no damage to the seats or the matching beige carpets.
It has previously won several concours events.
There is an accompanying manual.
TDs with their precise rack and pinion steering and excellent road holding have that great combination of a car with pre-war looks but it is very much a fifties car to drive. Runs very well and is a very engaging car to drive.
MOT & tax exempt.
Any inspection welcome. We are the 4th owners of this MG, having purchased it from a local motor museum in early 2022.
After 2 decades of storage in the 70s/ 80s, it was bought in the late 80s by a vintage car engineer and underwent a complete body-off, nut & bolt restoration to factory specification & concours standard. It went on to win Car of the Show at the MGOC Beaulieu National Rally, Best in Show at MGOC Shugnall Hall and Best Car in Show at the Benson & Hedges Concours at the NEC, Birmingham.
It has always been garaged since its restoration and also during our ownership.
We have a small history file containing images of the awards/ competitions, the V5C and old MOT certificates. Also, the purchase receipt from the motor museum.
The car remains in superb condition, the photos of which support this. We've not used it as much as we'd envisaged since purchasing it and feel it should now go to new owners who can appreciate it and use it more than we have.
