Description
A Rare Survivor – Immaculate & Original
An exceptionally rare example in outstanding original condition. This car has been rust-proofed from new and retains remarkable originality throughout.
Originally supplied by John Butt Automobiles, now believed to be a Ferrari dealership, it still wears its original dealer number plates (with the front plate having been replaced due to a crack).
The paintwork is entirely original apart from the offside rear quarter, which appears to have been resprayed many years ago to a high standard with an excellent colour match.
This is the desirable 12-valve fuel injection model, fully loaded with factory features including:
Electric windows
Air conditioning
Cruise control
Heated electric mirrors
Feather-light power steering
Original and working radio cassette player
In 2022, the car underwent major maintenance work costing approximately £1, 700. This included:
Full service
New timing belt kit and water pump
New discs and pads all round
New exhaust system
New battery
Full set of matching brand-new tyres
Only around 1, 000 miles have been driven since this service.
The interior is in superb condition, showing minimal wear to seats, door cards, and carpets. The original wheel trims have been professionally refurbished and now look fantastic.
It comes with a full service history, two original keys, and the original book pack, including the stamped service book and all manuals. Also included are every MOT certificate, all service and maintenance invoices, the original tool bag with complete Honda toolkit, jack, space saver spare wheel, and the original sales brochure.
For a 36-year-old car, it’s in exceptional condition. Solid underneath with no visible rust and no advisories on the last MOT. A clear HPI certificate is available.
The car drives beautifully. Smooth, quick, and easily keeps up with modern traffic. A reliable, well-preserved classic ready to be enjoyed.
