You’re looking at my superb Honda CBF500 ABS, which I purchased in October 2022. I'm the second owner of the bike, the first being an elderly gent who bought it from new and clearly looked after it very well. As a fair-weather motorcyclist, I've only covered 2, 000 miles on it whilst it's been in my ownership.
As can be seen from the photos, the Honda is in fantastic condition for its 20 years. I'd even go so far as to say that it's probably one of the nicest CBF500s in the country. Mechanically and cosmetically it’s excellent - it runs and rides like new. The only blemish probably worth mentioning is the slightly inconsistent silver paint on the front of the engine. Under my ownership I've fitted some engine protection bars, a front mudguard extender, a rear shock guard, a centre stand lift handle, an LED headlight and a magnetic drain plug. The centre stand is a very useful addition; this was an OEM optional extra when these bikes were available new.
There's an extensive list of receipts for servicing and maintenance going back to 2005, and I've continued with the regular maintenance up to the present day (e. g. spark plugs, engine oil, engine coolant and brake pads / fluid). Two new tyres were fitted to the bike approx. 300 miles ago, and it recently sailed through its MOT, which expires on 12th March 2026.
It should be noted that this Honda has a power output of 57bhp and, as such, it will require the fitting of a restrictor kit (which, my research reveals, is available on eBay) to enable it to be A2 license compliant.
