Description

1929 Morris Cowley Flatnose Saloon in blue with folding luggage, a well-preserved pre-war classic in working condition. Featured in the 1987 Belfast to Portrush Motor Cavalcade, it underwent a 7-year restoration in the 1980s by owner Mr. Harry Diamond. The body shows age-related wear, with cracks and chipping to paintwork and damage/ pitting to chrome, which would benefit from a professional repaint and re-chroming. The interior is in great condition, with minor wear. Mechanically sound and maintained by us, though regular upkeep is advised due to age. Odometer reads 4 miles, likely post-restoration, but true mileage is unknown. A rare piece of automotive history, selling due to family illness. I bought this Morris Cowley for its incredible history, which comes alive with the original manual, paperwork, and brochures from Mr. Harry Diamond, who restored it over 7 years and showcased it at the 1987 Belfast to Portrush Motor Cavalcade. A newspaper clipping captures Mr. Diamond proudly displaying his work. I love the timeless quality—these cars were built to last, unlike modern vehicles, and this one could endure another 100 years with proper care. It’s an appreciating asset for any enthusiast who values automotive heritage.
