Description
Another interesting vehicle we have bought this week is this original UK supplied, home market 456 GT .
Only 3 former keepers (so 4 in total) . First 2 owners owned the car until 2000 when it was sold to the last London based owner , the vehicle was then transferred into his sons name due to ill health in 2023 so it has remained in the same family for the last 25 years until we bought it this week . It has covered only 12000 miles from new and comes supplied with all of its original book pack , leather wallet, literature and tool roll, there is service history stamped in the book up until 6000 miles . It has still been regularly mot’d more or less every year and also routine servicing although we have no record of since 6k miles .
Mechanically there are no obvious faults when driving but remember its a 30 year old Ferrari ! it’s going to want a belt service as a minimum . tyres, brakes all very good.
Noticeable faults I have picked up on :
passenger headlamp doesn’t always retract at the same time as the drivers (volvo 480 part so easily fixed)
shrinkage around the heater controls in the centre console
polished gear knob marked in places
drivers door glass needs resetting or regulator changing as seems to overshoot the runner when closing
ally corrosion to drivers sill, wing mirror bases and bottled top section
very minor delamination to the rear screen
* please note this is not an exhaustive list*
Overall an exceptionally genuine low mileage, low owner 456 in a fantastic colour combination of Nero over Charcoal .
This car has been kept in an underground London car park most of its life so the inside is in incredible condition for one of these
It is of course fully HPI clear , any inspection welcome .
Happy to look at a deal with any interesting cars, classic or modern of higher or lower value .
Overseas enquiries welcome
