1964 Original Surrey Top TR4
For sale is my beautiful UK supplied TR4 finished in gleaming Triumph Royal Blue with the rare metal Surrey Top, back and fabric roof and bars.
The car has been owned for the last 8 years and it is with a very heavy heart that she's for sale. This is a genuine reluctant sale.
Originally supplied to the UK market on 24 July 1964 the car is finished in Royal Blue with black and blue interior to include rear bench seat.
The car has been professionally restored and as a result drives as well as it looks having only covered just over 9000 miles since restoration.
CBL is fitted with a genuine metal Surrey top and back light. I also have the sticks and a very good black fabric roof section.
CBL is also fitted with the electronic overdrive, which works in 3rd & 4th gears.
Externally the CBL sits on MWS Chrome wire wheels with very good matching correctly sized tyres.
Chrome work is very good throughout and also includes a Stainless steel boot rack. Boot and doors lock correctly.
Paintwork is very good with only minor blemishes
Mechanically, CBL has the correct engine pressure and drives correctly. it is fitted with a Stainless Steel single exhaust.
Internally, as an early car it is fitted with the correct white metal dash, all dials are in very good condition and all working correctly. Overdrive is engaged with the correct switch on the steering wheel column.
The layout in front of the driver is finished with the correct optional wooded steering wheel.
Seats are in very good condition, fitted with static chrome triumph Britax seatbelts - which have been restored.
Behind the seats is a matching rear bench seat rear. The base is not fitted but is available.
Overall, CBL is an excellent example of an early TR4, with out doubt in the best colour, best specification and in just lovely condition.
A very reluctant sale. The car comes with a large file, work shop manuals etc.
